As a material it is very durable and with great hardness. So, it is a synthetic material with a very hard surface, making it very resistant to scratches, abrasion, and stains.
The frame is powder coated metallic. Powder coating is a dry coating process used as a metal finish. Powder coating is applied as dry powder through an electrostatic process, then cured with heat.

MAINTENANCE:
The melamine which is the construction material is very easy to clean from stains thanks to its hard surface. You can wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth, and this is enough to make your desk look like new again. For persistent stains you can use a mild cleaner.
